Interstate 16 is a stretch of highway that runs across eastern Georgia from Macon to Savannah. At high speeds on that highway, any wreck that occurs can be fatal for drivers. A fatal car crash involving two vehicles recently killed a Bluffton woman along Interstate 16. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators said both cars were heading west when an accident occurred very close to Ocmulgee East Industrial Boulevard. The Bluffton woman was trapped in her Honda and died at the scene. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Two men in the other vehicle were taken to a nearby hospital, where one remains in critical condition.
